Now you can just describe a feature you want to build, and Bubble AI will create the data types, fields, and even privacy rules for any expected sensitive information. If you've used a spreadsheet, you already understand how databases work — we're using AI to make that connection obvious.

Right now this feature is available to everyone, though it works best for new projects and builders getting familiar with Bubble. We're already working on the next version, which will be able to reference existing data types. More on that below!

Building AI that grows with your ideas

This release is the next step toward something bigger: bringing AI assistance to every part of the Bubble editor, from design to workflows to the property editor.

What's coming next:

• Chat-based editing that lets you make changes to your app using natural language
• AI native mobile app generation (similar to what's available for web today)
• AI that can work with your existing database structure, not just create new data types
• Dummy data generation to help you test your apps with realistic content
• Text-to-workflow, text-to-UI, and text-to-expression generation

Chat-based editing and mobile app generation are coming later this year, with other AI iteration features on the roadmap.

The principle guiding all of this work: You’re in control, not the AI. Unlike tools that generate code you can't see or edit, Bubble AI will show you exactly what it's doing and where it's making changes.

You'll have full visibility into every decision, with the ability to adjust or override anything that doesn't work for your specific needs. Plus, if you're on a Growth plan or higher, all changes made by AI will appear in your changelog for a complete history.
